Being the 469th Right Worshipful Mayor of the City and District of St Albans during the wonderful 50th anniversary of the Festival in 2013 was an incredible honour. I am tremendously proud that this City event is held in such high esteem throughout the world. In my new capacity as Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Sport, Leisure and Heritage I am keen to see the St Albans International Organ Festival continue to attract new audiences locally, nationally and internationally so that many more people may enjoy this unique event.
